Anime Art

Here are some of the anime paintings I've done. These are not CGI, I hand painted this on a cel (clear plastic sheet). You know, like how animators used to do in the good old days. I guess technically they would be called "Fan Cels". I have more I'm working on so I'll add them in the near future. Click on the image to enlarge it.

Mimiru from .hack//sign. Ya, I know her face paint is not quite right. It’s supposed to curve up, not down. I realized that right after I inked the darn cel. The background is on a separate cel with a sheet of glass in-between the two to give it that depth-of-field look.

This is supposed to be Melfina from Outlaw Star. But a lot of people say it looks more like Rem from Trigun. I agree, Melfina should be a lot paler.

Outlaw Star is one of my favorite anime's. I plan to draw all the characters one day.

Sakura from "Cardcaptor Sakura". Not "Cardcaptor" which has been re-edited and Americanized. You can read the differences of the two shows at CCSvrsCC.

Chi from Chobits. I drew and coloured this very quickly. Actually it was the first cell painting I did. Kind of a test to see how the Sharpie marker and acrylic paint takes to the cellulous sheet. I really enjoyed the Chobits anime and Manga.

Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine, from "Cowboy Bebop" which is my all time favorite anime. Truly a masterpiece! Excellent sci-fi story with amazing art, action, humor, music, and real life blues.

I got bored one day and I drew this on my drafting board case using sharpie markers.

Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky 4th, or just ED, also from "Cowboy Bebop" How do I describe her. She's, well... Crazy! I drew this one fairly quickly.
